Boutique Saint Lucia hotel Cap Maison is teaming up with a homegrown MasterChef star to launch a new Guest Chef Series for 2023.
The hotel has announced that Saint Lucian born, two-time Master Chef Canada alumni and finalist Marissa Leon-John will be participating in the culinary series at The Cliff at Cap, the property’s award-winning onsite restaurant, and beach bar and grill The Naked Fisherman.
A self-taught chef and entrepreneur, Leon-John is known for a multicultural cuisine that takes in Greek, Italian and Filipino influences, as well as the traditional flavours of Saint Lucia and the Grenadines. In collaboration with Executive Chef Craig Jones , she will host a series of dinners at Cap Maison on 6-7 January, kicking off a programme that will see many other renowned chefs take to the hotel’s kitchens throughout the year.
“I am absolutely thrilled and honoured by the invitation to Cap Maison,” says Leon-John. “Showcasing my culinary skills in Saint Lucia has long been a dream of mine. I look forward to collaborating with chef Craig Jones, in what will surely be a delicious mashup of Canadian and Caribbean delights.”
Ross Stevenson, General Manager at Cap Maison, adds: “The relaunch of the new Guest Chef Series marks an exciting time for Cap Maison, following the recent refurbishment of both our restaurants The Cliff at Cap and The Naked Fisherman. Previous Guest Chef series have proved very popular, and this year, we are delighted to welcome another impressive line-up of chefs, who will each showcase their culinary skills.”
