Virgin Hotels Glasgow has opened its doors, bringing with it a number of new food and beverage destinations – with more still to come in 2024.
The launch of the new hotel sees Virgin Hotels’ flagship restaurant and bar, Commons Club making its mark on Glasgow. Helmed by Executive Chef Jean-Paul Giraud – who previously held Head Chef at The Spanish Butcher – Commons Club’s contemporary menu draws inspiration from around the world, combining unexpected ingredients with bold flavours.
The bar at Commons Club also serves up a selection of playful, signature cocktails, as well as a wide range of Scottish whiskies, liquors, beer and wine.
On the mezzanine level of Commons Club will be Virgin Hotels Glasgow’s all-day dining and entertainment destination, Highyard. With views of the River Clyde on its elevated terrace, two living walls and a retractable roof, the venue is an ideal spot for drinks immersed in the natural world.
Two more of the hotel’s F&B destinations will open in 2024. Funny Library Coffee Shop will launch alongside Rocks on Fox Street, a whisky bar promising a vast collection of tipples for guests to taste.
