A touch of Tuscan sunshine is coming to London next month, as the luxury retreat Como Castello Del Nero launches a dining pop-up at Como Metropolitan in the British capital. The eight-night experience will offer diners at the elegant Park Lane venue the chance to sample dishes from the award-winning team behind Como’s first Italian retreat, led by Executive Chef Giovanni Luca Di Pirro.
The menu will focus on signature creations from the Italian estate’s farm-to-table restaurant, La Taverna, an homage to Tuscany’s cuisine. Chef Giovanni’s philosophy is firmly rooted in local and Tuscan raw materials, and the food at La Taverna emphasises purity, quality, freshness of flavours and seasonality. Highlights will include homemade pasta, Florentine-style T-bone steak, pizza and a selection of wines from the region.
Chef Giovanni, who also heads up the Castello Del Nero’s Michelin-starred restaurant La Torre, will take advantage of his time in London to run two pasta making masterclasses. Participants will get expert guidance on how to cook the perfect pasta dish from scratch, and round out the meal with other Italian classics such as tiramisu.
The Tuscan Como Castello Del Nero dining experience will run from 17-26 February.
