The Dorchester’s Vesper Bar to welcome Maybe Sammy for one-night pop-up
Australian bar Maybe Sammy is preparing to take up residence at The Dorchester’s Vesper Bar for a one-night takeover.
The pop-up will be the bar’s first outside of Asia, offering guests access to Maybe Sammy’s signature cocktails and style, served up with a London twist. Main sponsor Flor De Caña has partnered with the venue’s resident bartenders to design a tropical coffee margarita, crafted with the brand’s 12YO rum. The event at Vesper Bar will also see a collection of six exclusive cocktails showcasing the Australian bar’s signature style of delivering classic cocktails with theatrical flair.
Cocktail highlights for the evening include ‘Pool Side’, featuring basil gin, white vermouth, Palo Santo, citrus and blue lagoon, topped off with a doughnut; and ‘Bondi Martini’, mixing vodka, mint, Sauvignon Blanc and raspberry tincture with a lollipop to finish off.
The culinary team at The Dorchester, headed up by Culinary Director Martyn Nail, have also designed a food menu to complement the cocktails, available exclusively for the evening of the takeover. The pop-up menu will include fresh dishes inspired by an Italian summer, influences of which are echoed in Maybe Sammy’s cocktail menu. Mixologists Hunter and Manuel will also offer a ‘Slice of Hospitality’ masterclass in the afternoon.
