The Dilly has relaunched its London-themed afternoon tea menu, with a new twist.

Served in the Terrace at the Piccadilly hotel, the new menu will be displayed on a London bus-shaped stand and will consist of quintessentially British staples and patisserie treats resembling the capital’s most famous landmarks.

To start, diners can enjoy four homemade savoury sandwiches, including a Coronation chicken sandwich served on white bread, an egg and mustard cress sandwich served on rustic onion bread, a carrot, cucumber and coconut cream cheese sandwich layered between slices of soft country malt bread and a smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese sandwich served on white bread.

Guests at The Dilly can also indulge in a collection of cakes and sweet treats, including Tower Bridge; a pear frangipane with vanilla cremeux and pear and rosemary chutney and St Paul’s Cathedral; made from spiced plum, ginger sable and candy walnuts.

Big Ben will also make its way onto the menu, made of a caramel chocolate ganache, sea salt and a dark chocolate sable. There’s also a classic London double-decker bus will come presented in the form of a mango and passionfruit cheesecake.

Both plain and raisin scones will also be served alongside clotted cream and a sweet strawberry jam to tie together this British tradition.

Paired glasses of champagne include Pommery Louis English Sparkling and Pommery Brut Royal NV. There will also be a choice of teas from The Tea Makers of London to choose from, such as the classic English breakfast and Earl Grey, as well as herbal teas, including jasmine green tea and peppermint tea.
