The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, has announced a summer partnership with premium wine estate Château d’Esclans – bringing the spirit of Provence to Chelsea.
The pair have opened a rosé terrace where guests can take a seat amongst olive trees and lush green foliage and be transported to the South of France to enjoy an exclusive wine menu.
Hotel guests and residents are invited to sip the world class Garrus, available by the glass and considered the most exclusive rosé in the world. With its tasting notes of glazed pear and pineapple, it is reminiscent of a vintage Champagne without the bubbles.
Also on offer, Les Clans is full bodied yet elegant, with notes of ginger and ripe pineapple, hints of black liquorice making for a rich and exotic palate. Château D’Esclans is described as a rare gem from the heart of Provence offering floral notes and a creamy texture. Finally, is the well-loved Whispering Angel – today’s worldwide reference for Provence rosé.
Additionally, a new small plates menu inspired by the South of France has been designed by The Cadogan’s Executive Chef Chris Hill to be paired with the rosé pours. Salt cod brandade with tomato sauce and fried sage, lamb sliders with ratatouille and goats’ cheese, smoked sardines and black olive tapenade on toast, Cornish seabass, basil & bouillabaisse broth and homemade socca and Isle of Wight tomato and rosemary all feature on a menu, which champions the best of summer produce.
Stepping inside The Cadogan, guests can enjoy a seasonal afternoon tea concept by Chef Pâtissier Benoit Blin in the lounge, or sample European classic dishes at The LaLee restaurant.
