Raffles Maldives Meradhoo has launched a new wine cellar, The Wine House.
The new addition to the resort’s F&B line-up has been created as a place where guests can enjoy tasting and paring experiences.
The Wine House features over 400 labels spanning from old-world classics to innovative new-world varieties as selected by newly-appointed Head Sommelier, Manuel Llamas.
Originally hailing from Spain, Llamas brings a wealth of gastronomic and oenological expertise from previous positions at the likes of the Steer Bar & Grill in Melbourne, Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, and InterContinental Dubai Marina.
Wines within the collection include a range of French and Italian vintages, from a Grand Cru Classe from Bordeaux to a rare Petrus 1996, as well as a kosher wine selection and varieties from the renowned Grace Winery in Japan.
Guests are invited to sip and savour at the cellar’s tasting table or try a wine pairing session, with all experiences tailored to each guest and the occasion.
Dining options at the resort range from everyday dining at Thari, barbeque at The Firepit, Nikkei cuisine at Yuzu and the island’s interpretation of the legendary Raffles Singapore Long Bar.
