Market at Edition lands in Madrid
The Madrid Edition has launched Market at Edition, the fourth location of the brand’s new restaurant concept.
Market at Edition is based on the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced directly from local markets, including seafood, olive oil, vegetables and meats. Each dish on the Madrid outpost’s menu is inspired by Spanish culinary traditions, such as tapas, sharing rice dishes and beverages including sangria. Hero plates on the à la carte menu include white asparagus from Navarra with idiazábal cream and Iberian pancetta; charcoal-roasted tenderloin, foie gras celeriac puree with Oporto sauce; and grilled whole sea bream with beurre blanc and smoked paprika oil.
The restaurant itself, a multilayered space with distinct seating areas, accommodates 150 diners. The venue features an elegant lounge with Castilian-inspired dark oak panels, inspired by the ornamental visuals of the space’s Baroque-style entrance. Yellow leather chairs and benches fill the dining room, while two striking alabaster and plaster lamps, created by Emmanuel Level Stenne, hang from the ceiling and feature a design inspired by the planets.
This room flows into a lounge area anchored by a long green marble bar and white oak floors, showcasing original art bathed in Yves Klein-inspired luminous blues. Finally, the space transitions into a more casual, light-filled area, with white marble tables and a backdrop of Spanish-inspired pink, magenta and orange hues, complemented by abundant greenery in antique clay jars.
