Le 300 Bar at the Maybourne Riviera has announced a new takeover series, Meet & Sips.
In collaboration with The American Bar at Gleneagles, Scotland and Roda Huset, Sweden, both of which are part of The World’s 50 Best Bars, the series will offer guests an opportunity to interact with mixology experts in an intimate atmosphere.
Named after the altitude which separates the bar from sea level on the southern coast of France, Le 300 recently launched its latest menu, Contraste, which blends contrasting raw Mediterranean ingredients to create balanced cocktails. The bar often draws its inspiration from the local ingredients of the Côte d’Azur with a botanical approach to mixology and avant-garde design.
For this latest series, lead mixologist and herbalist Julien Lecharpentier has been inspired by the flavour profiles of ingredients in the Roquebrune Cap-Martin region.
Kicking off the series is Michele Mariotti, head of the bar programme at The American Bar. Marioti, whose recent menu, Book Of Berries won Best Cocktail Menu at The World’s 50 Best Bar award 2023, will present two cocktails supported by The Lost Explorer mezcal.
Next up is Hampus Thunholm, owner and creative leader at Stockholm’s Roda Huset, which ranked at 31 on The World’s 50 Best Bars list. He will bring with him Scandinavian flavour and experimental drinks supported by Brugal rum.
