A Bavarian biergarten has opened up at 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai.
Ernst, a chic take on the classic beer garden, channels the interior aesthetic of countryside taverns on the outskirts of Southeast Germany. Deep green interiors, ambient lighting and solid, carved wooden furniture combine to echo the European nation’s famous breweries. A large, central maypole has also been fixed to the ceiling and painted in traditional Bavarian colours, following the time-honoured tradition of such establishments, while regular guests will be able to keep their own personalised steins in lockers.
The food spans classic Bavarian dishes, with weiner schnitzels, steckerlfisch and charcuterie platters all featured on the menu. The drinks are just as authentic, with genuine Bavarian hops such as Paulaner imported straight from the German state and served onsite.
However, when it comes to the views, Dubai takes centre stage: Ernst’s outdoor terrace – the perfect place for a spot of curling – overlooks the glittering Burj Khalifa. Private events are catered for with a leisurely private dining room appointed with polished wooden furniture, warm lighting, and a cosy atmosphere, offering an ideal space for groups seeking a secluded area to host parties or gatherings.
