Nestled amidst the cliffs of Nusa Dua, Hilton Bali Resort expands its leisure offering with the arrival of Elara, a Mediterranean-style seaside lounge and bar. 

Singapore-based design firm Avalon Collective draws inspiration from a Spanish summer house, blending Balinese serenity with the spirit of the Mediterranean. Warm terracotta tones and lush greenery evoke olive groves, while pops of red and yellow symbolise the energy of Barcelona, Andalusia and Valencia.

To create a relaxed atmosphere, Avalon has prioritised natural materials and textures like lime-washed oak, dark-stained brushed wood, terrazzo tabletops and sleek metal finishes. Rattan furniture, woven accents, rich upholstery and plush cushions complete the picture.

Upon arrival at Elara, guests are greeted by a boutique retail display and a sheltered open-air bar and lounge. The adjacent indoor dining area flows into an alfresco space. Meanwhile, the outdoor pool deck and revamped terrace is transformed into a sandy lounge area with over-water cabanas. Indoors the mood is more intimate, with interiors centred on a mature olive tree, with light wood and natural fabrics recreating Greece’s effortless idyll.

The menu from Executive Chef Clinton Webber presents beloved Mediterranean classics as ‘sharing style’ dishes, with ingredients carefully handpicked to maximise freshness and nutritional value.
