Frasca Hospitality Group and Four Seasons Resort Vail have revealed a first look at new upcoming opening, Tavernetta Vail.

Slated to open this winter, it marks the second iteration of the Tavernetta brand, created by Frasca, with an existing restaurant in Denver known for its freshly made pastas and Italian wines.

The group operates several establishments in Colorado, including the Michelin-starred Frasca Food and Wine and Pizzeria Alberico in Boulder, as well as Sunday Vinyl and Osteria Alberico in Denver.

Under the direction of Studio Collective, the California-based design group, and Denver-based OZ Architects, the space (previously held by Flame Restaurant) is undergoing a comprehensive renovation.

Tavernetta Vail will have multiple indoor and outdoor spaces featuring a new bar and lounge as well as cosy booth seating for après-ski dining.

A renovated private dining room will anchor the farthest end of the restaurant. Other furnishings incorporate nods to renowned Italian architect, Gio Ponti.

Design Director at Studio Collective, Christian Schulz comments, “We designed a modern space that complements the spectacular surrounding mountains by incorporating an abundance of natural materials and elegant details that pay homage to Vail’s heritage as a premier destination for elevated experiences, whether it be exceptional dining or world-class skiing.”

The menu will explore the whole of Italy, while honouring the mountain culture and diverse cuisine of the country’s Alpine regions. It will offer an all-Italian wine list, as well as a full Champagne offering and an Italian-driven spirits and digestif programme.

Co-founder of Frasca Hospitality Group, Bobby Stuckey adds, “Four Seasons shares our commitment to hospitality excellence, and we are confident in the alignment of our organisations to deliver an unmatched culinary experience to this world-class resort and year-round destination.”
