The Ned Doha has opened its doors in Qatar, marking the brand’s first location in the Middle East.
Following in the footsteps of the brand’s London and New York locations, the Membership Collective Group property places a strong emphasis on F&B, offering seven public restaurants alongside other amenities such as a pool and club lounge, health club with spa, and fitness centre.
Venues range from Cecconi’s, a traditional Northern Italian offering serving up hand-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas as well as Venetian-inspired seafood dishes, to Kaia, whose Pan-Asian menu takes in signature dishes from across Southeast Asia and Hawaii including sushi, poke bowls, and mains slow-cooked on a robata grill. Electric Diner is a casual restaurant dealing in American staples and deli favourites like burgers and classic milkshakes, while Nickel Lounge offers a menu of classic drinks and a live performance stage. Those seeking afternoon tea and vintage-style interiors will be well served by the European-style brasserie Millie’s Grill, while Hadika specialises in Levantine cuisine al fresco, offering mezzeh family-style selections from fattoush to shish tawook in a garden setting. Finally, the poolside Malibu Kitchen brings an entirely new culinary concept to the destination, thanks to its penchant for California-inspired favourites, from sea bream tacos to young coconut salad.
Set over five floors in the former site of the Ministry of Interior, overlooking the Arabian Gulf and Doha’s skyline, the 90-key hotel and members club has been redesigned by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin with interiors by Soho House Design.
“Five years after launching The Ned in London, we are excited to be open in Doha,” says Gareth Banner, Group Managing Director, The Ned. “We’re look forward to delivering a distinct experience to our guests and members, welcoming them to stay, connect, eat and have a good time.”
