Alex Dilling kicks off Chefs Dinner series at Kivotos Santorini
Boutique hotel Kivotos Santorini has launched its new Chefs Dinner series at signature restaurant Mavro.
The series will see an array of renowned chefs joining forces with Mavro’s Head Chef Dimitris Katrivesis to curate bespoke six-course degustation menus for one-day events from May to October.
First to take to the kitchen was Michelin-starred Alex Dilling of London’s Hotel Café Royal. The evening showcased a blend of cooking techniques inspired by Santorini’s rich gastronomic tapestry and globally inspired flavour pairings, with dishes drawing on locally sourced ingredients nurtured in volcanic soil and fresh fare sourced from the island’s shores.
Chef Rubén Arnanz and Miles Alexander Watson will helm a six-hands dinner in June, while Jacob Jan will be at the stoves in July.
“Our Chefs Dinner series at Mavro will take guests on an extraordinary culinary journey,” says Katrivesis. “By partnering with some of the most talented and innovative chefs around the world, we are excited to present Mavro as an international culinary destination in Santorini for all to experience.”
He continues: “Each event will be a masterful collaboration, blending our signature style with the distinct flavours and techniques of each guest chef. Together, we will push the boundaries of creativity, combining ingredients in unexpected ways to present dishes that are true works of edible art. As no two menus will be the same, these dinners will be more than mere encounters with culinary excellence, they are invitations for connection and conversation sure to create extraordinary memories we know our guests will treasure for years to come.”
