Utopia has unveiled its Serve and Protect range, designed to help the hospitality industry get back up and running safely.
As coronavirus lockdown restrictions start to ease across the globe, the industry faces many challenges, particularly in working out ways to make institutions safe whilst maintaining a pleasurable experience for customers.
The Serve and Protect range comprises a selection of products that split the focus between providing protection for customers and employees – falling under the ‘Protect’ umbrella; and providing safe, creative and innovative solutions for presenting drinks and dishes – falling under ‘Serve’.
Protect includes a digital infrared forehead thermometer from Berrcom, plastic protective screens and three different grades of masks.
The protective screens are a flexible solution for creating partitions to maximise space whilst making safe socialising and dining areas for guests. Coming in a variety of sizes to fit the needs of different hospitality environments, they have an aluminium surround to give a sturdy structure and feet that fold in for easy storage.
The Serve range sees Utopia take existing products and develop them for the post Covid-19 world. It includes tongs, wrapped paper straws, lidded cocktail glasses and serving dishes. The brand has also extended this range with three sizes of clear plastic plate covers, keeping food fresh and safe in transportation.
“During this intensely hard time, when there have been unprecedented changes to the foodservice sector, we’ve been working on ways to support customers and the wider market,” says Kathryn Oldershaw, Marketing Director at Utopia.
“We have always had innovation at the core of our business and this approach is certainly being used to the maximum at the moment.”
