San Francisco-based tableware and accessories brand Tina Frey Designs has expanded its Pedestal Collection, taking inspiration from the famously cold and foggy summers synonymous with the Californian city.
Specialists in the manufacture of modern designs crafted in resin, Tina Frey Designs create home décor essentials for some of the world’s finest hotels, restaurants and residences.
With collections spanning tableware, buffetware, serveware and furniture, their style focuses on functionality and clean lines whilst maintaining a signature handmade and sculpted feel.
The Pedestal Collection now comprises five new silhouettes including a champagne bucket, three unique vases, a goblet and an egg cup. Also available in a new shade of Fog – a delicate, translucent colour with hints of light grey to reflect San Francisco’s famously cold and foggy summers, where the company and designer are based – the faint colour provides a point of contrast when set against the white and grey items that inform the rest of the range.
Originally hand-sculpted in clay, the designs are made of lead and BPA free food safe resin, which exudes an imperfect Wabi-sabi look and feel. The faint new colour allows light to pass through, or the contents of the vessels to be revealed in a blurred, mystical image.
Together, the set creates an interesting narrative of different heights and sizes highlighting flowers, foliage, bottles, beverages, cakes and eggs, ensuring a grand statement can be achieved for any tabletop presentation.
