Hospitality behemoth Steelite International has added another string to its bow with the launch of a brand new showroom in Madrid. The company, a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of award-winning tabletop, buffet and ambient lighting solutions, already operates several showrooms globally, but is bolstering its European presence with its new venue in the Spanish capital.

Centrally located in the city’s chic neighbourhood of Barrio de Salamanca, the 480 square-metre venue provides a space for hoteliers and restaurateurs to hone the exact tabletop and buffet concepts they need to meet their design visions. It also acts as an experience centre, with ample room for hospitality clients to demonstrate, explore and verify different tabletop layouts before purchasing solutions.

“Pre-Covid, Spain was one of the world’s fastest-growing hotel markets,” says Kimberly Matienzo, VP Global Marketing at Steelite International. “Today it is rebounding quickly, with the country’s projects set to reach 88% of pre-pandemic tourism levels in 2022. With Spain being the world’s second most visited country globally, we knew it was the ideal location to invest in a world-class showroom and experience centre to serve operators and end-users of hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality sectors.”

The space is big enough to house the full portfolio of Steelite International’s products available to the EU market, including luxury hospitality brands such as William Edwards, Robert Gordon, Rene Ozorio, Robert Welch, D.W. Haber and more. “Everything we do in the new showroom will add value to operators,” adds Matienzo. “Our goal is to help them achieve their vision, whether specifying for a new location or a refresh.”

The move represents the latest big step forward for Steelite International, a British heritage brand that was first established in 1983 in Staffordshire, UK, the heartland of the country’s ceramics industry. Today, the company provides more than 140 different nations with innovative solutions in china, metal, glass, wood, melamine and buffet, and runs offices in both the UK and the US. It also boasts 12 different showrooms across the US, as well as additional showrooms in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, Canada and Australia.
