Cold-distilled spirit brand, Oxley Gin, has announced its cocktails-to-go initiative in collaboration with some of London’s very best bars.
Running until March 2021, the Last Orders campaign will see Oxley Gin partner with a number of London-based bars to offer bespoke Gimlet cocktails.
Kicking off the series, Tayēr + Elementary, number five in the World’s 50 Best Bars list, has devised a Jasmine Gimlet, which is available for purchase at online via Shop Cuvée.
The Tayēr + Oxley Gin Jasmine Gimlet features a citrus cordial, paired with Muyu Jasmine Verte liqueur and fino sherry to elevate the floral, fresh and crisp notes of Oxley and is rounded off by a slightly sweet and bitter notes of gentian aperitif.
The new series of collaborations is designed to celebrate the resurgence of one of Oxley’s favourite cocktails, the Gimlet, whilst supporting London’s on-trade as it faces tighter restrictions.
Award-winning bars including Lyaness, Nine Lives, Blue Bar at The Berkeley and Three Sheets will also be taking part, creating their own innovative twist on the classic serve with Oxley Gin.
Traditionally the gimlet, a gin-based cocktail, is created with only two ingredients: gin and lime cordial but Last Orders will see the bars transform the drink, thanks to the different flavour profiles of the gins and the opportunity to experiment with the cordial element.
The brand will showcase each bar’s innovative twists on the drink, which will be bottled and made available through a selection of online retailers as a limited edition batch of fifty cocktails over the next few months.
Once the bars reopen again, the bottled cocktails will be available for purchase at the venues during Last Orders.
Will Naylor, Marketing Director for Oxley commented: “One of our goals this year has been to unite and support the hospitality industry by inspiring and celebrating innovation and creating some incredible cocktails in the process.”
He adds: ”Oxley’s Last Orders is the culmination of these partnerships – working with top bartenders to help us change perceptions about the gimlet and offer consumers the chance to try out some of the most inventive takes on our signature cocktail in the comfort of their own homes.”
Part of the Bacardi portfolio, Oxley uses a sub-zero distillation process developed specifically by distillers using a scientific approach to freeze nature in its tracks and capture the natural flavours from fourteen botanicals.
Unlike other gins, Oxley uses fresh frozen citrus peel that is flash frozen at source in Murcia, Spain; adding freshness and resulting in an intense and flavoursome experience.
