Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens has announced the launch of his new online cookery school: Cooking with Tom Aikens.
The virtual cookery school will be available through a members-only Instagram channel and will teach a variety of skills from essential knife skills to how to prepare show-stopping dishes at home.
The first course in the series will be Meat Free Mondays – taking place on Monday evenings throughout January, February and March.
The six-class course will focus on hearty vegetarian food which is applicable to the post-work, mid-week chef, and uses the best of the season’s produce.
Each class will be hosted by the chef and will include dishes such as oven baked cabbage cannelloni, cauliflower tabbouleh and chia seed and red berry pudding with cardamom and cashew cream.
Commenting on the launch of his new cookery school Aikens says: “It has been an incredibly difficult time for our industry, but one positive that has come out of this is the interest in cooking and growth in the number of people wanting to learn new skills in the kitchen.”
He adds: “We’re hoping to offer people the opportunity to cook good, healthy meals at home – something I feel really passionate about. We’re so excited to be launching this new online platform, and I’m looking forward to meeting all our new members over Instagram in the coming weeks.”
Further courses will run throughout 2021 and will be announced in due course.
