Rockliffe Hall appoints Martin Horsley as Executive Head Chef
Luxury County Durham resort Rockliffe Hall has appointed Martin Horsley as Executive Head Chef. The role will see him overseeing dining offerings across the hotel and spa and guiding the head chefs in developing innovative menus.
Rockliffe Hall’s three restaurants include a fine dining 3AA Rosette Orangery Restaurant, which focuses on seasonal produce, The Clubhouse, known for its wholesome British classics, and the newly-launched casual spa eatery Nu Sana.
Horsley, whose personal cooking style is described as “modern and eclectic,” was most recently Executive Sous Chef at Sofitel London St. James. His career has taken him from the prestigious Gleneagles in Perth, to various luxury hotels across Europe and Australia. He also spent one year at the one Michelin Star venue 21 Queens Street in Newcastle, under the guidance of top British chef Terry Leybourne.
