Jumeirah Olhahali Island appoints Nurmaningsih Tejapermana as Exec Chef
Jumeirah Olhahali Island has appointed Nurmaningsih Tejapermana, known as Chef Nonky, as the Maldivian resort’s new Executive Chef.
A native of Indonesia, Chef Nonky brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, having held key positions at Jumeirah’s international destinations including Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai, as well as hotel chains; Four Seasons, Shangri-La and the Mandarin Oriental Group.
At Jumeirah Olhahali Island, she will lead the culinary vision across the resort’s four waterfront dining outlets, including a reimagined experience at Kayto, where Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine is presented in a relaxed setting.
Meanwhile, Shimmers, known for its Mediterranean and Greek flavours, will offer homemade artisan pizzas served in a beach club atmosphere, while Glow will continue to offer global flavours with a focus on health-conscious options for all-day dining.
In addition to these signature restaurants, Chef Nonky will also oversee a series of curated set menus ranging from Maldivian and Indian to Middle Eastern.
