Ingo Stöneberg has joined Vietnam’s Alma Resort as Executive Chef, with the German national set to oversee the Cam Ranh Peninsula property’s 14 dining venues.
Formerly executive sous chef at Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai – the largest in-flight catering operation in the world – Stöneberg has also held positions including chef de cuisine at Hilton Abu Dhabi Hotel, operating across its 12 restaurants, and working within pre-opening teams for Jumeirah, Starwood and Westin.
The 196-pavillion, 384-suite Alma Resort features F&B venues ranging from Italian to modern Asian and traditional Vietnamese, alongside three bars and a food court. Stöneberg will seek to establish the property as one of the region’s leading culinary destinations, noting that the resort’s offer and traditional cooking techniques are “akin to the old days with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and devoid of artificial chemicals”.
