The AuthoriTea, an organisation which enhances guest experiences and increases profitability for the hospitality sector, has unveiled plans to host HospitaliTea UK, is a first-of-its-kind event for the hospitality industry.
Set to take place on 30th June, HospitaliTea UK 2021 is a chance for UK hospitality leaders to learn how to unlock the commercial potential of tea and help them to discover the variety available from the world of tea. This virtual event will feature speakers from The AuthoriTea’s growing customer base including: The Four Seasons Park Lane, The Mandrake Hotel and Europe’s One and Only, Portonovi. Topics covered will range from the commercial opportunity of tea gastronomy to wellness and tea trends as well as case studies of the AuthoriTea’s work in action. Each attendee will also receive a sampling box filled with speciality tea.
“For too long, tea has been thought of as an obligation, rather than an exciting, lucrative opportunity for luxury resorts, hotels and dining establishments,” explains Diaz Ayub, tea futurist and founder of the AuthoriTea. “Tea is a missed opportunity in high-end hospitality, with exciting possibilities for guests and lucrative opportunities for businesses. It boasts considerably higher profit margins than coffee and our online event aims to educate the industry about how to make the most of that opportunity.”
The AuthoriTea has provided consultancy to London hotels including Hotel Café Royal, Four Seasons, The Sheraton Grand, Marriott Hotel County Hall and The Mandrake Hotel. It has also recently agreed a partnership with The One&Only Resort in Portonovi, Montenegro, which will be discussed as a case study at the online event. The discussions with the hotel group have already advanced to rolling out similar tea programs to other venues across the Kerzner International portfolio.
The AuthoriTea has also confirmed an agreement with other European venues such as the Rixos Hotel in Dubrovnik and Blue Sun Resort’s D-Resort in Sibernik.
“We represent multiple boutique brands that we’ve personally sourced from all over the world and curate tea experiences individually for each location and customer end point, procuring the teas through our one, central hub,” reveals Ayub. “Our exciting menus are individually designed for bars, restaurants, spas and in-room occasions. We are proud to work with artisan, independent brands such as The Amber Rose Tea Company, Nazani Tea London, Mighty Brew Kombucha, Fitch Brew, Chill Tea, Tea People and Teaspec. We also provide staff training and inspiration to ensure expert tea sommeliers are able to provide the right advice to guests.”
