Treehouse Hotel Manchester set to open Pip by Mary-Ellen McTague

Treehouse Hotel Manchester has announced the opening of its first destination restaurant, Pip by Mary-Ellen McTague, which is set to take root alongside the hotel’s official opening in March 2025.

Located on the hotel’s ground floor, Pip’s contemporary and whimsical design reimagines the typical dining experience through a more playful and imaginative lens.

Renowned for her innovative and conscientious approach to cooking, Mary-Ellen McTague designed Pip’s menu to showcase the best of local culinary heritage, championing low-waste cooking, seasonal ingredients and locally-sourced produce. Through her use of modern techniques, McTague spotlights the potential of each ingredient and has crafted a menu that explores new flavours incorporating unconventional ingredients.

With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, McTague previously worked alongside Heston Blumenthal at Michelin-starred restaurants, shaping her creative culinary approach and dedication to high-quality, heartfelt dining.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester is set to welcome guests to its 224 guest rooms for fun and free-spirited stays. In addition, the 14th-floor is set to welcome a further destination restaurant Sister Moon by Sam Grainger, sharing the top floor with Treehouse Hotel’s signature bar The Nest in Treehouse – both offering views of Manchester.

It is the second UK property from the Treehouse Hotels brand by SH Hotels & Resorts (soon to be Starwood Hotels), which brings a blend of playfulness and nature-inspired design to the heart of Manchester.
