The Newman Hotel unveils Brasserie Adeline and Gambit Bar
Brasserie Adeline and Gambit Bar will launch as part of The Newman Hotel.
Taking up residence in the heart of Fitzrovia, Brasserie Adeline will be a contemporary, all-day brasserie, serving a menu of classic comfort dishes and delivering the energy of a bustling neighbourhood institution.
There are generous Northern European influences threaded through the menu, with techniques such as curing and smoking employed to add a lightness of touch to the more familiar dishes.
Food will be presented simply on the plate to allow the well-sourced ingredients to shine. Brasserie Adeline will seat 76 covers within a spacious dining room full of natural light, plus an additional 24 covers in a separate bar space and a street-side terrace for alfresco dining. A bespoke sandwich trolley will grace the floor throughout lunchtimes, offering a quick bite for guests.
Meanwhile, Gambit Bar will be a destination bar in its own right, influenced by the energy of the surrounding locale. It will be inspired by the timeless allure of iconic bars from across the globe, with the intention to create a warm and welcoming space where attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality are core values.
Cocktails will be creative yet understated, made using the highest quality ingredients and innovative techniques. There will be a comprehensive selection of ‘low and no’ options, as well as a handful of local craft beers available on tap. Guests will also be able to choose from a succinct menu of bar snacks. Elsewhere, a dynamic events programme will allow guests to while away the hours discovering in-house DJs or mastering strategic game playing at regular chess nights.
London based studio Lind + Almond has led the design of the hotel, including Brasserie Adeline and Gambit Bar. The firm has taken inspiration from the rich history of the surrounding area, referencing the Victorian and Art Deco styles that can be seen throughout Fitzrovia.
Both spaces have been developed to feel contemporary and sophisticated, with multifunctional purposes that take guests seamlessly from early morning coffees at Brassiere Adeline to late evening cocktails at Gambit Bar.
The Newman is the first venture from Kinsfolk & Co, a new London-based hospitality management company. The organisation, was founded by Paul Brackley in 2023.
