Nestled along the shores of Mirabello Bay, InterContinental Crete introduces three restaurants in partnership with Chef Consultant Nikos Roussos.

Enhancing IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle offerings the new destination’s culinary offering celebrates Mediterranean flavours and crafted cocktails using local ingredients.

Under the guidance of the two Michelin-starred Roussos, InterContinental Crete presents three distinct Greek venues, Zeus, Knossos and Minoan.

Zeus, with its relaxed yet refined setting, invites guests to savour robust regional flavours. Set on the ground floor, the pool-side space overseen by bartender Elias Stergiopoulos, offers a curated cocktail menu that blends classic sophistication with the vibrant flavours of Greece.

Among the standout selections are the Con Limone Negroni, a twist on the traditional cocktail, infused with zesty lemon notes. The Rosa Odorata Spritz is a refreshing concoction that combines the floral essence of Rosa Odorata with sparkling prosecco, offering a taste of botanical essence.

Meanwhile, the lunch menu at Knossos Restaurant serves up whimsical dishes like the Octopus Dog. This creation pairs tender octopus ensconced in a handmade bun, enhanced with the tangy kick of Florina pepper ketchup.

On the spicier side, the Spicy Chicken features succulent chilli-marinated chicken atop a bed of rustic pasta, complemented by creamy avocado and a soft-boiled egg. Seafood lovers may prefer the Ceviche Avgolemono, a fusion of seafood served with a avgolemono sauce, while vegetarians can opt for dishes such as charred okra with smoked tomato and crumbled feta cheese.

Into the evening, patrons can try the Chef’s special, Gamopilafo, a quintessential Cretan rice dish featuring slow-cooked lamb shank, oven-baked pilaf, creamy sheep’s milk, and seasonal greens.

“Inspired by Crete’s culinary heritage and exceptional raw ingredients, we’ve crafted flavourful dishes that offer a contemporary take on Greek island life,” says Roussos. “Enjoy these creations while taking in the stunning views of Agios Nikolaos’ coast from InterContinental Crete.”
