Hotel Lord Byron unveils its newly redesigned bar, envisioned by Oscar Lucien Ono, founder of Maison Numéro 20.

Just steps away from the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, the acclaimed interior designer has also transformed the hotel’s lobby and breakfast room, reimagining a space where elegance, tranquility, and warmth converge.

At the heart of his vision lies the hotel’s hidden garden, a placid haven that inspired the design. This connection to nature flows through the bar, where shades of green and brown create a peaceful, balanced atmosphere. Designed as a winter garden, the conservatory showcases delicate botanical fabrics by Nobilis.

Wood paneling, decorative painting and artful patinas surround guests. Upon entering, the eye is drawn to a bespoke, poetic mural gilded with fine gold by the artisan Aude le Tixerant. The ceiling, featuring Maison Numéro 20’s signature golden hues, enhances the cocooning effect.

Ono has structured the space with alcoves, while expanding the perspectives through an interplay of mirrors on the walls and ceiling.

While the bar and lobby favour deep, rich tones, the breakfast room is inspired by a cherry blossom garden, with a soft palette of powdery pink, grey, and ochre. The materials also take on a gentle and natural quality, featuring woven cane seating, for example.

Echoing the journeys of British poet Lord Byron, subtle nods to travel are woven throughout the various spaces, from Oriental motifs in gold leaf to Murano glass lighting. These design details are combined with a peacock feather fabric from Lizzo, evoking the opulence of Venetian balls.
