Mondrian and Hyde Ibiza debut Best of the Best culinary series
Mondrian and Hyde Ibiza are launching the ‘Best of the Best Culinary Series’, hosted by a range of chefs from the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
The first of its kind for Ibiza, the series marks a transformative moment for the culinary and cultural scene of Cala Llonga. Each month from June to September, two chefs from the 50 Best list will land in Ibiza to showcase their gastronomical vision, curating unique Latin American and Asian set menus in the hotels’ destination restaurants Niko and Cuyo.
The series will begin at Niko, Cala Llonga’s debut Japanese kitchen, with chef Pam Pichaya Soontornyanakij, the youngest Thai female chef to receive Asia’s Best Female Chef from World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The chef’s restaurant, Potong, is famed for its 20-course Thai-Chinese tasting menu, which earned her the 17th spot on the Asia 50 Best and the 57th spot on the World’s 50 Best lists. Her collaboration with Niko will allow guests to experience her menu for the first time in Ibiza.
“I’m so thrilled to bring Thai flavours to Cala Llonga’s first Japanese restaurant,” she says. “It is an exciting culinary journey to blend my Thai-Chinese roots with Ibiza’s vibrant culinary landscape, creating an unparalleled dining experience.”
