Rosewood Baha Mar names new Executive Chef
Rosewood Baha Mar has announced the appointment of Fabio Pineda as its new Executive Chef, where he will helm all five of the hotel’s dining outlets.
Pineda brings 25 years of global culinary experience to his new role, working across Café Boulud The Bahamas in partnership with Daniel Boulud and Dinex Group, Costa, Manor Bar, Tingum on the Sand and The Library.
Growing up, Pineda’s grandmother ran a cooking school for the local community, where he gained much of his early-years experience. “This is when I fell in love with the craft,” he says. “I was immediately drawn to cooking and inspired to pursue a career in the industry.” The chef has held several executive and leadership roles in properties around the world, including Fairmont Dubai and The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. He joined The Miami Beach Edition as the Executive Chef in 2020, and was a part of the pre-opening team of The Reykjavik Edition in October 2021.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Fabio to the Rosewood Baha Mar family,” says Monica Ortiz, Managing Director of the hotel. “As one of the most passionate and influential chefs in the industry, he prioritises delivering exceptional service through culinary innovation. We are excited about his wealth of international expertise that our guests will experience through his unique style of cooking.”
