Luxurious Portuguese resort Quinta do Lago has announced the opening of its new beachfront F&B spot, Gigi’s Bar
Located next to the recently-refurbished Gigi’s Restaurant on the edge of the Ria Formosa Natural Park in the Algarve, the new bar is Quinta do Lago’s 14th F&B offering. Guests can expect ocean views, Ria Formosa-inspired cocktails and light bites created from ingredients sourced in the local area.
Accessible via the resort’s boardwalk bridge, the laidback bar was designed for visitors to bask in the late afternoon sun and connect with the surrounding nature. As such, its signature Cube cocktail menu is inspired by the wildlife of the Ria Formosa, with highlights including the Flamingo (a refreshing blend of Froggy B vodka, Aperol, peach and prosseco), as well as non-alcoholic choices such as the Greenfinch, comprised of green tea, kiwi, rosemary, ginger and lemon.
The new bar forms part of a significant F&B investment programme currently taking place across all of Quinta do Lago resort, and follows in the footsteps of Umami, an Asian-fusion style eatery that opened in 2021, and Casa do Lago, a seafood restaurant that underwent a £1.25m renovation the year before. The resort’s restaurants also include Casa Velha, a fine dining restaurant with a longstanding heritage of French cuisine, which overlooks its golf courses.
