The Refuge by Volta, the restaurant and bar concept at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, has announced the launch of its new outdoor dining concept.
The al fresco dining area in the courtyard at Waterhouse Way has been redeveloped and will be unveiled on 12 April, when England’s lockdown measures on outdoor dining are lifted.
The heated and covered outdoor restaurant will be one of the few venues opening in Manchester while indoor dining remains closed and will feature a number of biophilic details, outdoor entertainment and an updated menu concept to mark the reopening.
The Refuge has curated a selection of new dishes, which will feature meat and fish sharing platters. Much-loved dishes will also remain on the menu including smoked feta, beetroot, hazelnuts, dill, and lamb shawarma, alongside the Voltini classics, inspired from the Volta travels.
In addition to this, the restaurant will be launching a new dessert and drinks menu featuring a special ‘Refuge Lager’, while its Sunday Roast will also be back on the menu.
Luke Cowdrey, of The Refuge by Volta, commented: “We can’t wait to open our magical al fresco restaurant in the city for people to stumble across and eat, drink and be happy. It will be a great space to come together and reignite human connection in a safe and social environment after a tough few months.”
