Michelin-starred chef Dani García will debut his first British culinary concept at the upcoming Mondrian Shoreditch hotel.
Slated to open next Spring, Garcia’s restaurant will appear in Mondrian’s soon-to-be European flagship property, replacing the former Curtain Hotel.
In addition to García’s restaurant, Mondrian Shoreditch will feature sbe’s signature food and beverage offerings. The project will also introduce an award-winning mixology concept to the taste-making rooftop lounge, Rumpus Room, a long-term fixture in London’s nightlife scene.
The rebrand, masterminded by Accor and sbe in collaboration with current owner Reuben Brothers, will retain The Curtain Members’ Club operating under the same name.
“We look forward to establishing the property as the heart of the Shoreditch food scene in our first ever UK restaurant,” reveals García. “I have always been drawn by the magic and energy of London and this opportunity alongside sbe, Accor and Reuben Brothers is a dream come true for us. We are humbled and honoured and look very much forward to welcoming guests into our restaurant at the soon-to-become iconic Mondrian Shoreditch London.”
The news of Garcia’s first foray into British dining follows the announcement of his partnership with sbe on C³ (Creating Culinary Communities), a cutting-edge food and beverage platform spearheaded by the hospitality brand, which will see the chef launch two new culinary concepts: Casa Dani by Dani García, a full-service dining concept, and Minük by Dani García, a fast casual concept – both with the Spanish chef’s characteristic Mediterranean flavour and Spanish flair.
